At the end of 2018, I found myself retiring from my full time secular work, and now I can change what I say to: "I used to work for the USPS to pay for my ministry." In the beginning of 2019, I re-introduced myself into Haiti to work directly with our people. I have been working with our Haitian brothers and sisters since 1985, supporting and encouraging church leaders, helping build churches, and supplying humanitarian needs from vehicles, food and clothing, to just extending the love of Jesus Christ!
On the upper left, I helped Nicolas celebrate his 45 birthday . No cake, but a package of fromage and summer sausage made a fine birthday gift.
On the right, Dr. Nick demonstrates to my travel companion of the day, the progress made on the medical clinic. Future plans are to raise enough money to add four rooms with two patient beds, a waiting room, an exam room, a lab room, and toilets. The clinic is adjacent to Dr. Nick's house. He uses two rooms in his house for a temporary clinic at this time. This makes medical services available in the earthquake refugee area, Jerusalem, just outside of Port au Prince, for a population of nearly 100,000 or more.
This is the only website for the Haitian based ministry under 'Zoe Life Christian Center'. We are based out of Minnesota and not related to any other ministry with the same name on the web. When I learn more, like Facebook, etc, I will direct you to THIS MINISTRY. I suspect I will need to use a distinctive name to prevent confusion, I will keep you posted. --Donna
